Berlin War Cemetery by Fraser Downie

Lance Corporal William Downie 3245722 6th Bn Cameronians died 19th April 1945 during the long march from Stalag XXa Prisoner of War Camp in Torun Poland. His actual place of death was south of Hamburg at Grasse. He was killed by RAF Typhoons as they mistook the POW column for German soldiers. Approximately 50 -60 were killed in that incident.
