Photos of Margam Abbey

En ruines by raym5

When Cistercian monks adopted this wonderful site among Welsh hills and forests near the sea, those trees weren't there . Nowadays, ruins of the abbey (which was completed in 1170), still stand proudly (though heavily repaired) in their shade, and delight visitors wandering around them on a sunny day.
